I had the urge of posting this post after I made comments on my cousin's blog on those bottle caps game that we played during our primary school days. I used to live in those L-flat in Kim Keat Avenue, the block no longer exist now. At that time, I don't why but I have a lot of relatives staying in the same block. I have my dad's brothers staying on the 8th floor, my dad's cousin staying also on the 8th floor and my dad's cousin mother staying on the 6th floor. Then I have my dad's friends staying at the same corridor as us on the 12th floor. Ok, enough of my daddy from the block story.
BOTTLECAPS
Where one will collect as many bottle caps from empty bottle of Mirinda, 7-Up, Sinalco etc. Normally, we will collect only the one that looks new. Rusty and badly bended (kemek) one we won't take. We will then play it with friends or neighbours. Whoever bottlecap got pinned under, that person will lose and the bottlecap goes to the winner. Thus, that explains why there are so much bottlecaps in the house until mum has to get rid of it.
TENG TENG / HOPSCOTCH
Last time, there isn't any Teng Teng / Hopscotch outline drawn on the playground. Thus what used to happen was we will bring back fresh white chalk from school and then draw it on our spacious corridoor. We will use rubber band as the thing to 'chop' or book the space inside the Teng Teng / Hopscotch area. Jump jump till your feet goes black.
BATU SELEMBAT / FIVE STONES
Only girls played this game last time. The boys would think that it is rather kookoo to play Batu Selembat / Five Stones with girls. Only guys who think that they can beat the girls better would they be participating together-gether. These small selembat is cloth filled with beans or biji saga, the red saga seads. We either get it from the bookshop or the market. I normally make these myself using uncooked rice grains. When the selembat break open due to poorly sewn, I will filled it with new rice grains until I had my mum shouting not to waste her rice grains that I eventually stop doing this.
KEJAR-KEJAR / CATCHING
Funny how the word catching was reformed by kids those day. I still remember if one comes up to me and said "Eh, nak main catching? (Eh, wanna play catching?). And playing catching at that L-block was definately a no joke which was why nobody used to volunteer to be the catcher and we have to do Oh-Ah-Peh-Ah-Som to see who will be the catcher. I used to play this with Crab, Magg, their brother and some other neighbours and if the last catcher couldn't catch before one decided to stop the game, that last catcher would be called this "Pasang Lengit". And you could hear the rest echoing that from the staircase.
SEMBUNYI-SEMBUNYI / HIDE AND SEEK
Same goes for this game. It was of course a no joke trying to locate oneself when you have the WHOLE block to yourself. Some even had the tendency to hide in the lift and travel up and down. Some even hide inside their own house. How to catch? And when we were ask to count to 100, sometimes we cheat and said we have counted to 100 and the seniors will ask to count to 200 sometimes. Bully!
ROUNDERS
Nope. Not that baseball thing. This was the classic of all. Dunno if anyone have tried before. Its a catching game as well. You have to align all footwear to be upright near the wall. Says there are 5 people playing. You will find 5 different slippers standing upright on the floor. The other pair was for throwing. You will then have to hit 1 slipper and if that slipper drops, all will run except the owner of that slipper that had fallen down. The owner then take his/her slipper and gave a chase. Whoever unfortunate soul that cannot run fast will be slammed hard on their back with the slipper by the owner. Normally the owner will chase whoever that he/she dislike or whoever that hit her/his slipper. Revenge. Sakit oi kalau kena.
And other games that we really had fun with which I don't have the time to type. Continuation some other time. Happy Thursday! *Doink counting date to Raya*

RAMBLINGS
Suddenly, I got migraine attack. Tu benda dah urgent, nak kena submit secepat mungkin. Abih tu, dengan boss aku pat negeri cina, sempat pulak dia suruh aku check itu ini then to call him back. Ok takpe. Aku buat jugak. Oi! Abih ni benda aku handle sorang ke apa? Siak betullah. Dengan boss aku punya fickle mindedness, sekejap nak tukar ni, sekejap nak tukar tu, lagi membingitkan kepalaku. That moment, rasanya macam nak hand in notice of resignation jer. Kepala sungguh sakit fikirkan pasal questionnaire dan perangai pekerja-pekerja pat sini. Padahal tu questionnaire punya chicken kedodol, sumer mintak straight forward nya answer tapi itu pon boss keparat aku masih nak suruh check ngan manufacturer, ngan installers, ngan ntah saper lagi just to make sure. Dah lah tu, quotation kena revised. Pepuks betullah! Dahlah takde time, kena revised lagi, makin menambahkan ke-kancheong-an aku. Then halfway thru aku tengah buat kerja, sibuk pulak si beruang ni tipon dari negeri cina. Apa kejadah aku nak pegi layan when I'm busy with this stupid thing. Arggghh.. fed up arh. Bukan sekali dua dia tipon, berkali-kali. U have an incoming call from China. Bla Bla Bla. Tanya pasal collectionlah, pasal tipon numberlah, macam mana aku nak habiskan kerja. Be Wau Dal Wau Ha. Sesungguhnya, aku tak puasa niari.

PAST TENSE

Abang : Ma, Abang tak nak ikut Ibu lagi. Kalau Mama suruh Abang gi rumah Ibu, Abang tak nak makan, tak nak minum. Lepas tu Abang lari gi rumah kawan Abang.

Adik : Ma, kalau Adik dah secondary school, Baby dah sekolah ke belum?

Me : Baby dah Primary 1 agaknya.

Adik : Kalau dia pegi Primary 1, nanti Adik hantar dia pegi sekolah lepas tu Adik amik dia balik sekolah.

Tup Tup Tup : Yang tua left us in December 2004 while yang kecik left us this year June, all when they're spending their holiday with their natural mum; no proper visit or hello till todate. If so, only call or come to ask for money. Macam tatang minyak penuh aku jaga dorang, ajar dorang, kasi pandai dorang. Apa dorang nak sumer aku kasi walaupun dilarang oleh ayah mereka ie. my hubby. Apa-apa yang terjadi dalam rumah ie. pasal nenek/pakcik marah/maki them, aku selalu bela. In the end, perpisahan juga jawapannya. HATI SIAPA YANG TAK SAKIT. Nasib baiklah ada replacement (Baby Sarah), kalau tak mati biol (bukan mati kojol!) aku. Nak menangis air mata darah sekalipun, dorang takkan datang balik. So, move on babe! Life ahead memang full of surprises. Tak dapat dinafikan.

PRESENT TENSE

The replacement, the life saver, the penglipur lara, the buah hati pengarang jantung. The ayah's princess, the mama's angel, our one and only little girl, Sarah Batrisyia. And her face, clon muker abang dia yang nombor 2. Sama cetak, sama bentuk, sama expressi. If you too are gonna leave me one day, leave when I have had enough of you, not when I still wants to care and love you so damn much.

This year Raya will be completely different than the previous years. Let's go backwards to the years when I am still schooling to the period where I was still single mingle triangle. In those days, it was definately merrier as all my needs for Raya was taken care by this person called 'Mum'. When it comes to baju kurungs or kebayas, all are ready made without I even have to choose. Tup tup tup, few days before Raya, there they are, all my helai and helai of bajus, ready made just for me. I only have to wear it. And that includes shoes, handbags and other needs and good thing during schooling time was, I don't need to worry about giving away ang pow.
When I had started working, since got not a lot of commitments, I began buying my own shoes and handbags but all baju kurungs were still taken care of that person called 'Mum'. I had been giving away ang pow since I started working and of course from that year onwards, the ritual had to go on and on every year. Changing new crisp $2 notes was like the 'must do' thing on my Raya list every year.
When I got married, things went differently. I had to purchase most of my own stuff and not only that, I have to fork out extra for my family and even the house. At that moment, the person called 'Mum' was no longer there to provide the luxury. I felt the pain. It was definately a pain thing to do everything myself to the extent, I only bought like 1 or 2 ready made baju kurung for myself and the rest are spent on the family, ie. at that time, there were the boys. This went on for 3 consecutive years and I was still in charge of every thing, the kids, the bakings, the house... everything and that almost caused me a breakdown coz I had no help at all. Tonnes of complains and whines were poured out to that person called 'Mum' and all I get from her was be patient.
This year, although I am so very excited to sambut Raya, my excitedness has since fade away when Hubby began working in container line at PSA. He has to work during 1st and 2nd day of Raya. There goes my Raya. Looks like me and baby had to go visiting without him. Luckily, Dad & Mum offered to jalan raya with them. At least my 1st Raya with Baby won't be that bad. If not I had to sit at home, dah macam tak berkeluarga nak beraya. However, this year, I am happy because all my baby's needs have been looked after. I guess that must be just what my mum felt when she tends to her children needs first for the Raya. The satisfaction and the happiness, looking at the happy smile and the excitedness that her children showed her after getting new bajus and shoes. Yes. I am in that state too. Never mind the tiredness having to wake up in the middle of the night to feed her. Never mind the tiredness having to bake cookies and cleaning the house while still have to tend, look and play with her. Never mind the big hole in my pocket for spending so much on just 1 baby. Never mind Hubby had to work during Raya, but I still have my baby with me. Never mind all that. I'm just glad that the 2 returned back to their original caretaker and God gave me a replacement that showered me with so much joy, satisfaction and happiness. I am really looking forward to next Thursday, going visiting with my little baby, Sarah Batrisyia.

Dear Hubby, today is your 31st birthday. How days passed by without we even noticing it. It's another year survived and I thanked Allah for that. Being with you and Sarah has make my life complete. May you be happy on your birthday and I wish you the very best in whatever you do. Till death do us part. Love you always, Wifey. There goes another year of birthday, prompting us that age is catching up.
Doink looking at the calendar. The month of November is nearing... Oh no... I'll be in my 30s soon enough.
Anyways, Hub's birthday has been celebrated in advance thus today seems a little bit dull especially since he has to work and I am busy attending to the house needs for the upcoming Raya round the corner. Nevertheless, I manage to call and gave him a good wish for his birthday at earlier midnite today.
Can't seem to do things easily this year with little Sarah in tow. Every movement she make, I have to be alert. Every movement I make, she tends to watch and see. She will wail for attention whenever I am out of her sight. Even baking cookies, I think today is the most long record of baking as well. Starts at 9am, finished at 2pm, only managed to bake 1 type of cookies. The thing with me is I'm price concious whenever it comes to buying cookies. With 100 pcs for $15 or $20, I think for that amount of money, I can buy all the ingredients and get 3 to 4 types of cookies. Semangat berkobar-kobar wanting to make my own cookies but with the attention that little Sarah needs every now and then and with MIL not in to look after her while I bake, I think I can only make do with 2 types and the rest to order. What a waste of money.
Oh! I went out with my cousin yesterday to Tekka Mall and I bought a pair of shoe for raya. After so-called buka at Burger King, we then went off to Mustaffa Centre where KakMil couldn't decide what bag to have for her raya. There were all sort of designs and colour and I too was looking for a bag but can't find one that is big enough to put my stuff and my baby stuff all in. Takkan nak terhegeh dengan dua bag and a baby. She settled in with a cream, yellowish colour bag for herself and pink one for her little darling. Then we went downstairs and shopped for toiletries and make up. Yes, I need foundation, eyeliner, lipliner, blusher etc etc. I bought all the things I need and she bought hers and after paying for our goods, we went to nearest coffeeshop to tapau makan for my family. Getting a cab was extremely difficult there with shoppers shopping for Deepavali and Malays like us sibuk-sibuk in Serangoon Road to shop as well for Raya. In the end, had to call a cab and KakMil went over to my place while waiting for her hubby to knock off from work at his Paya Lebar office. I managed to buy a cheongsam-like pant suit for my baby Sarah and she definately looks cute in it. I'm just glad I got a baby girl.... so many nice things to put on her. Wait ok baby, I'll doll you up at Raya morning. Hehe

My darling hubby's birthday is around the corner and before I can decide what to buy, he has already hint hint how good if I can have an MP3 player eh, then can listen while I'm driving. Chet! But nevertheless, being the always loving wife, I abide his wishes. Jeng jeng jeng, wishes came through and I bought him an MP3 player but only for 128mb jer! Nak beli yang comes with GB so the very expensive, can't afford with the raya around the corner as well. Then I created a birthday card and took my Baby to play a part in it as well. Alkisah, mak ngan anak kunci pintu bilik just to the followings.

My Baby is so vainport one coz when I put that lipstick on her lips, she kept so still like as if she know she's being doll up but due to my much fidgeting, she cannot stand it at last and decided to lick up the lipstick and I had to put it on again and again. She can laughed and giggled at me some more for being so irritated and having to do it all over again. But outcome is cute and hubby love the advance present and card, especially when he saw his angel's lipstick mark on it. Funny! Have a great weekend ahead.

Umpama Mimpi Dalam Mimpi
Aku tahan sejenak perasaanku mungkin sebetulnya aku tersalah dial nombor.
Tapi bila perempuan itu tiba-tiba berkata, "Nah, your wife talipon..."
Setelah puas aku berbicara, aku hanya mampu menangis seorang diri.
Chet! Dah terlepas waktu sahur. Aku kesat air liuh basiku lalu duduk terpinga-pinga. Bermimpi rupanya aku! Aku terus mencapai hp dan call Abang just to make sure yang aku cuma setakat bermimpi.
"Hello??" panggilanku dijawab.
"Abang, where are you?"
"Kat kejelah. Pagi dah bangun? Yang, nanti Abang call balik, tengah driving ni. Container nak upload."
"Oklah. Bye"
Haiz.. mimpi sampai termiss waktu sahur, alarm clock berdering pon aku tak sedar which is unlikely of me... Is this a sign or something? Nau'zubil'lah Min Zaliq.

Heh!
Bila aku pulang dari kerja, aku nampak galah yang panjang dah dipotong tapi suami jiran aku pulak jadi panas hati lalu beritahu kami supaya aircon yang kami letak di koridor tu dibuang segera kerana mengambil space dia orang. Dah berbahasa pulak si polan ni. Hmmph! Sengaja carik pasal.
Walaupun bukan niat aku nak bertengkar atau bermasam muka dengan mereka yang aku panggil jiran, kini aku jadi tawar hati nak bertegur sapa lagi. Kalau mereka senyum, aku senyum. Kalau mereka tak pandang, aku pon tak pandang. Kadang-kadang tu, mereka tutup pagar rumah dengan kuat, macam disengajakan dan aku pulak, lagi kuat aku balas.
Bila dapat jiran macam ni, aku jadi rindu dengan jiran lamaku... dah lama tak terhidu aroma kari di pintu koridor... ahaks!

Citer Belit
Aku pernah membelit masa kerja di kompeni terdahulu. Walaupun rasa seronok menyelubungi diri bila dapat cabut dari opis dan tup tup tup sampai rumah awal, tapi aku tak biasakan untuk buat kerja macam ni everyday. Biasanya, aku akan tengok schedule aku dan bos aku sehari sebelum aku rasa nak membelit. Biasanya lagi, time aku belit or cabut dari opis bila aku tengah betul-betul free, takde projek or kerja yang harus dilangsaikan.
Alkisah, orang nak belit dengan si pembelit yang dah pernah buat kerja belit ni dulu. Sepatutnya dia berterus terang saja dengan aku, lagi-lagi tengah bulan posa, abih bila aku soal, dia jawab sekian sekian sekian tapi tak sekian sekian sekian. Konon nak belit tapi akhirnya dia terbelit pulak. Memang sibuk pat kompeni aku kerja sekarang. Kalau nak belit tu pon agak-agaklah. Tak puas ke masa bos cuti dua minggu gi Eropah, kau dah membelit dan aku tak tanya pon.
Kali ni, bila tengah banyak kerja yang semua nak kena tunggu calculation dari kau, kau tetap masih nak membelit. Aku suruh beli envelop, kau cakap ok. Pukul 3.30 petang aku tipon, kau cakap on the way balik opis dari town. Pukul 4 boleh sampai. Tak pasal. Masih ada time lagi aku nak buat ni tender. Aku tunggu. Pukul 4 masa aku call kau cakap kau dah beli envelop pat post opis. Okaylah, bagus. Sementara tunggu kau, aku buat kerja lain dulu. Pukul 4.30 petang, masih tak nampak batang hidung. Aku pulak kena keluar kejap pegi bank, tak jauh 10 minit nya journey pergi balik. Aku tipon lagi. Kau jawab tengah beli envelope pat post ofis. Tadi kau cakap kau dah beli, sekarang aku tipon kau cakap tengah beli. Ok takpe Sudin, mak kasi chance. Belitlah kau. Aku sampai opis kau masih belum balik-balik jugak. Aku dah hilang sabar. Pukul 5 petang akhirnya kau balik opis. Kau passing aku envelope yang aku mintak. Tapi kenapa kau tipu aku? Kalau nak belit tu belitlah, janji kerja siap. Kau cakap kau pat post opis tengah beli envelop tadi.
Dah tu takpe, aku suruh kau buat benda urgent tu sebab bos nak niari pagi. Dengan muka-muka kau bersuara tinggi, ngan aku dan budak lagi satu pat opis cakap tu plan dulu kau dah buang. Pukul 6 genap, kau cakap kau nak balik, nak buka. Benda yang aku suruh kau buat, urgent kataku kau buat tak endah. Ya lah, kau sorang puasa, nak balik buka... abih aku tak yah buka? Gara-gara kau aku buka sengsorang pat opis. Balik lambat dari opis, sampai rumah dah nak kul 8 malam.
Abih tadi pagi bila bos tipon kau pasal calculation plan tu, kau sabo, cakap kita orang tak bilang kau. Nasib baik masa bos bebual ngan kau, kita sumer ada depan dia. Kita dua jawab dah bilang. Tu pon kau tak serik, tak malu. Masuk opis, ada hati lagi nak tanya aku pasal tu plan yang kau cakap kau dah buang. Pasal aku puasa, aku tak kuasa nak cakap apa-apa. Pasal aku puasa jugak, aku rasa puasa aku dah minus point gara-gara kau. Baru sekarang aku tahu kenapa abang maintenance pat sini cakap yang aku belum kenal perangai kau... ruper-rupernya kau nya lidah pon boleh tahan. Kaki bedek jugak. Astaga!
Verdict : Ni sumer cobaan... tapi memang menyakitkan hati oi!

My pinggang so very the sakit and I am so very the ngantok. I worked hard over the weekend, trying to get all errands done since I was not working last Saturday when I'm supposed to. JL exchanged Saturday coz there's a job tender to complete. Before the weekend, met KakMil at Far East Plaza where we buka and shop for our children's clothing over at Lucky Plaza. Then from Lucky Plaza we walked to John Little where we did another shopping, pon baju bebudak jugak. Reached home nearly 11pm coz of the traffic jam over the highway and luckily hubby tak work that night.

Saturday pulak, after sending my mum-in-law nya aunt to ICA Building and sponsor to extend her visit pass, I went back home and had a nap. Anak beranak tidur since it's also raining outside. When I woke up at 3pm, decided to ajak hubby to Geylang since I will be spending my Sunday at my parent's place. We walk walk, shop shop and when we reached home, I think I spend my money most on food and VCDs. Haiyah, lain yang dicarik, lain yang dibeli. I think this is common food syndrome during Ramadhan, every food that you lay your eyes on, you want it. Then bila time buka, I only eat the one that looks very nice and by the time I finished that, I can't sumbat the rest that I bought. A lesson to learnt everyday, tapi tu pon kadang tak serik, masih jugak nak beli macam-macam food for buka. After buka on Saturday, I went off to my parent's place with my little baby to help mum kemas her barang-barang to shove inside her new-built kitchen cabinet. Peh banyak!! While dad entertained baby, I was busy cleaning the cabinet and putting roaches paper inside the cabinet. But then, by 10pm, I was tired already so I told myself to continue tomorrow.
::4th day of fasting::
::Bread with jam for sahur::
::Bits & pieces of all the food from Geylang for buka::
Woke up at 4am to Sahur on the Sunday, couldn't go back to sleep till 7am coz baby pon bangun sahur. Always like that lah she! At 7am, slept till 9am and upon waking up, terus gi kemas barang-barang. Its like 10+ boxes to kemas and susun back into the cabinet and single-handedly but with the assistance of my little frat and mama, we finished by almost 3pm... Pinggang nak patah, bangun, tunduk, bangun, tunduk. Of course I was dead beat, then mama offered for me to sleep while she cooked for buka. Apa lagi, I slept with by little girl from 3pm to 6pm.
After buka, go Geylang lagi with my sis, her hubby and my mama. This time I promised myself not to get thing that I don't need. Managed to buy little Sarah 2 pairs baju kurung and 1 pair baju kebaya and myself, 1 cheap cheap baju kurung. The mother don't need expensive baju kurung, baju kurung at home still belambak. The bajus for my little one was so damn cute. Alahai, sungguh comel.com! But I still need to alter the kain as it's very long lah, actually tu baju untuk budak umur 1 year old.. hehehe.. tapi me being so very kiasu, baby baru 6 months, dah nak pakaikan baju kurung. Tapi really tau, she look so cute. Geram sey! Then after Geylang, proceeded back home. RJ sent us home and I punch-in by 10.30pm. Again, hubby tak kerja. Rupanya dia demam... alahai kesiannya sayang.

First love is always hard to let go, no doubt about it. Obliging for a separation means there won't be at least a 5% chance of getting back together again in the near future. There will be stages of changes in a relationship which I would call a love cycle. Relationship that is settled in the name of love somestimes doesn't last. Mindset and sacrifices are the basics that will be needed to foresee everything. If you think that love, mindset and sacrifices are enough, you'll be amaze when you go through that journey, you'll discover that these 3 factors comprises only 3/4 part in your life. Love is full of surprises. Being in a relationship is like gambling, you won't know if you'll lose or win. Being in a relationship is like building a wooden house, you won't know if it'll get attack by termites.
Losing a soulmate when you've just got to know them is a painful process but it would be more pain-streaking if you went through longer years to only realize later that he/she is not the right one for you. To err is human. We go through process of changing, be it in outlook or inner self. Character, attitude and personality wise, you'll see the before and after effects only when you reach to a certain mature age. By that time, to look back and regret, it will then be too late and not under any circumstances that you are able to change back time.
If I could turn back time, I'd wish to be single again. Then I can be with my parents, having their companion, taking them out and being with them for as long as I like. How I yearn to have life with no commitments. Blearghhhh, this is what happens when you don't have enough sleep, the mind starts wondering.

Teka Teki
Bila dia nampak burung dia makan tapi bila dia nampak ulat gonggok, dia tak makan. Kenapa?
Intisari Rancangan
Sementara nak pikiak jawapan, marilah kita ikuti harian Doink buat hari ini.

4.00am - terbangun. baby nangis pulak!
4.15am - terbangun. bunyi alarm dari hp tanda bangun sahur.

Conclusion - meNGANTUK gara-gara tidur bangun, tidur bangun macam ni.

Dear baby,
Mama would want so much to see you happy
Your cheeky smile and laughter usually made my day
Couldn't bear to even leave you for second
Mama have no choice but to sacrifice for your well being
Mama wants you to know that you are my angel
Your presence in the family enhanced the relationship
Live seems unjoyful without you by my side
I'm tortured and wrecked should I see you in pain
Love you forever, my little princess

Your mama, blog posting in advance after foreseeing her day tomorrow will be busy

SLEEPY MONDAY
My darling baby had fever on Friday but upon my return from work, her fever had since subdue a little. Then came Saturday morning when she's suppose to have her 5th month dosage of injection. I brought her to poly still but just for consultation instead. After that we took a taxi ride to Bishan to be with my parents for a while.
Baby, although sick, was not at all cranky so when mum had to leave for work by lunch time, I left with her too but instead of proceeding straight home, I singgah John Little at Specialist Centre. Alamak! Red Hot Sale! Stoopid me, I forgot to bring the 20% discount voucher not knowing that I will be there that day. While my well behaved baby slept in her pram, I had fun doing the shopping for her. Bought her little pink dresses and some other accessories for her play time. I also bought skirt and top for the twins. Thus after shopping, I made my way to Killiney Road to meet my lil sister and pass her the twins stuff.
I always make sure when I goes out shopping on a Saturday, to reach home before hubby did, although he knows we're out. Instead of taking the train, I fork out extra money and took a cab and we did arrived home before him. But due to my utmost disappointment, he had to leave again for a wedding invitation upon reaching home and since he's riding and going with his friends who are also riding bike, baby and me has to stay home. So much for our returning home early from town.
Then came night, hubby had to go for his usual night work. Baby's temperature rise a little. I thought she was allright but somewhere after mid-night, her head and body was so hot. She's asleep yet in her sleep, she cried so loud as though someone beat her. I guess it was probably due to her 39.2 degree celcius fever hence she started having nightmare etc. I stayed awake and come 3am, hubby wasn't home yet. He'd probably was at that 24hours coffee shop with his night job colleagues. While he enjoy his supper, I'm at home crying. Yes, crying coz I felt the pain watching my baby who is normally cheerful being in that sorrow state, with eyes gazing at me so very weakly.
I then fell asleep only to wake up at 5am when baby cried again. She's having nightmare again and hubby is still not back. Anger made me lock the bedroom door. At 5.30am I heard hubby's knocking but I remained silent. I had switched off my mobile earlier thus there was no way for him to reach me. When the silent knocking disappeared, I almost thought he went to sleep on the couch but no, he had the cheek to leave the house again. At 7am, I called his mobile and he replied that he's on his way back home from watching people fishing at Punggol Marina. I was devastated but I admit it was my fault. If I didn't lock the door, he'd probably be carrying baby and soothe her. I went back to lie on the bed. By the time he reached home, I pretended to be asleep. He woke me up.
"Yang, nanti baby bangun, kita pergi swimming eh." I guess he meant good wanting to cover his wrong doings as Sunday is always family day for us but only to hear my holler.
"You kelakar ke apa??? Baby demam lah!"
I tried going back to sleep but as I am the type who'd once awaken, couldn't go back to sleep that easily, sleeping is out of the question. In turn, I had shower, got ready and got baby ready since her fever has dropped again.
"Yang, you nak gi mana?"
"Gi breakfast pat McDonald. Gi siaplah, you know it's Sunday today." I know I was harsh but heck, couldn't help it. He arise from the bed looking so very groggy. In the end, I felt pity as he really hasn't got enough sleep and rest.
"Dahlah. I think you go and sleep. I keluar ngan Baby jer. The next time you come home at this kind of hour, no more family day on Sunday. It will just be my day with my baby." He was of course happy to get his peaceful sleep amidst my nagging. In the end, I took baby for a morning walk to SPC and then back home. The rest of the hours were spend on the bed, playing with baby and watching hubby snoring his way to lalaland.
I'm still groggy with the sleepless night since Friday and I thought I saw a panda bear in the mirror this morning. What a lousy weekend!
