THE NO-GOOD DAUGHTER
Imagine my shock when Ma call to say she's starting her cleaner work at Fullerton Hotel tonight. I almost cry out in tears having to swallow her intentions. But why Ma? I just don't understand you. Aren't you tired? Won't it mean that you will not be seeing Pa & Adik almost every day? Won't it too mean that I will not have the chance to spend time with you during weekends?
Mama... Mama... even hubby is against you taking that cleaning job at Fullerton Hotel but what can we say, Ma? How can we stop you? I've tried talking to you and I've mentioned plentiful times that you required some rest but you still insist that you'd prefer working than resting at home. I really have to hand it to you. I don't know how you can cope with 3 jobs in a day. You leave home at 8 in the morning to start your cleaning job at the bank. By 10.30am, you arrived back home to cook for Pa & Adik and clean the house. By 12.30pm, you have to leave for your PSA canteen work where you cook and serve all those labours there. I know you'll be dead beat by 10.30pm but somehow you found another part-time job as a cleaner at Fullerton Hotel, working hours are from 11.30pm to 6.30am the next morning!!
Ma... oh Ma... I'm worried that you'll fall sick. I'm worried that you won't be able to cope but you having to do it for something which you might not want to tell me. All you said before was you want to make sure you have enough savings, then quit your job to look after Sarah . How painful I felt, how tortured it was hearing you saying that. Before, I felt so let down when you still have not quit your job after Sarah was born when you promised me that you would. Before, I felt so regret having to give birth but after that no one was able to look after Sarah when I definately have to work due to the monthly housing payment. Now, I felt so sinful to have that kinda thoughts. Now, I felt so regretful for not wanting to know your real intentions.
Oh Ma, please forgive me. Please forgive your selfish daughter for not being able to provide you with a good happy life when you have provided so much for me & the other 2. Ya Allah, with this, I prayed for Ma's safety, health and wealth and that all will be well for her. Ma, I will look forward to the day when I can spend more time with you and you have more time to rest and enjoy life. I will make sure that day will come soon. I promise to do my part to make this happen. I love you Ma!

BABY'S FIRST CORRECT WORD & HER SWIMMING ADVENTURE
Delighted I am to hear Baby trying to talk in her own language. Besides saying eii to the cat, oooh and aahh while playing by her lonely self, often the word papa came out from her cute little mouth but that doesn't mean anything to both me and hubby coz hubby addressed himself as 'ayah' while me 'mama' so I reckon the word papa is just something that she managed to pick up while she was in her 6 months. And she can go papapa while just doing anything or trying to attract attention.
Last Friday, hubby came back from work bringing a box of toy saying it was from my mum. Ma worked as a stall assistant in the canteen at PSA where hubby is now working so hubby sees Ma everyday (good for himlah coz he then gets free food from Ma and that's why the weight gain in him.. hehehe). Inside that box was a small yellow bear, tummy area is a night lamp and it was indeed so cute. When I put the battery on, it flashes bright light from the bear's tummy and if you turn on the switch, it will play lullabies such as Go To Sleep Now and Rock A-Bye Baby. Baby liked it so much coz those are the lullabies that I would normally sing to her during her sleeping time.
Thus what happened the next day somehow surprised me. At first I didn't notice much coz she does go papapa so it doesn't make a difference to me when she too goes behbehbeh. I placed the bear on the side table beside the bed. During night time, I always ask if she wants her bear. She who now always wanting to stand up even if it means grabbing my hair to stand, will go beh.. beh. Only then did I noticed that whenever she saw that yellow bear, she will said Beh (or bear lah). I was of course so happy when I heard that and so did hubby. Hubby only smile when she said Beh and putting the tip of bear's nose into her mouth, as usual.
My ex-colleague used to tell me that baby above 6 months old, if you train them patiently, you will see the best outcome. Looks like it is true after all. She's also trying to clap her hands and do twinkle twinkle little star with her palm. How cute.
I brought her to the swimming pool which was a 10 minutes walking distance from my place yesterday. At first I thought she might cry being in the cold pool but apparently, she in her deep pink 2 piece swimming suit and a float was so having fun inside the pool that I left her afloat by herself. She was shouting and screaming happily when her brothers approached her from under the water. People just stare at this Baby, being so small but her scream and shout mengalahkan budak yang umur 1 tahun. I then tried putting her in the water for a mere 1 second and her expression was so darn cute. But I forgot to bring along a camera to record her happiness. Maybe next time. I was there with hubby (hubby didn't swim, just guarding our things) and the boys but we (hubby, me & baby) left earlier coz Baby's fingers were already so kecut after half an hour. I was glad to finally bring her out to swim.

MORE BABY PICS
I'll let the picture to do the talking... Enjoy again peeps.

Me & Baby with hubbynyer cousinnyer future wife. Picture taken at my 2nd brother-in-law's new abode in Woodlands Ring Road. I lurveee his sofa, peh besar.. macam katil arhh!

Baby Batrisyia with her great grandmother Hjh. Badriyah (nenek akulah). Nama akan-akan same. Actually I tooked that name Batrisyia sempena nak dekatkan dengan nama granny aku plus Batrisyia maknanya cerdik, mudah-mudahan anak ini satu besar dengan otak yang pintar. The grandmother who is still strong and healthy as always. Love you nenek!

Baby posing alone for the camera from her uncle's expensive bed & bedsheet. Hmmm... aku yang jeles tengok that nice bedsheet. Cadar collector what!

Baby with her two abang kandung. Satu bapak lain mak kira adik beradik kandungkan sebab kuat. The two abang yang lari tinggalkan dia masa dia dalam perut and now came back after she is recognising people. Somehow, somewhat she probably knows they're her brothers coz she's so damn close to them as well. Dear boys, hope you don't run away again! I treat & love you like my own flesh & blood but you chose to go back to your own natural mum who makes you clean the house & wash toilet everyday and left you to other's care while she enjoy holiday trips etc ... Butakah mata korang, tak tahu nilaikan kasih sayang yang sebenarnya. *sigh*

The trios again. Every shot I take, Baby never fails to pose for the camera. She is one vainport I tell you.
Have a good weekend everybody!

SARAH OH SARAH
Latest photo from Sarah Batrisyia. Enjoy peep.
Sarah in her crib. This picture is taken before bedtime. See how playful she can be, dah malam pon tak tahu nak tidur! Can pose for the camera some more!

Sarah in the swing at her Atuk's place. Only that place has got a swing for her to sit and be pushed. One ya-ya princess being entertained by all in the family. Laju... buaiku....laju.... pohon beringin.. daunnya rendang... eh? itu citer bawang putih bawang merah. Salah!

Mak nenek punya muka boring sebab ada tetamu datang and orang dah tak kuasa nak tolakkan lagi....

As I said, she is so fond of cats and the above is her expression when she chances upon Tiger, Droolz cat who passed by her. Apa lagi ni... she went Eiii... Eiiii... konon cat calling lah tu. Tiger looks at her from below the sofa. She was so happy that Tiger made eye contact and keep on saying Eiii... Eiiii...

Then when Tiger jumps up the sofa and some what smell her bachin socks, she shrugged and not moving. The word Eiii suddenly stuck at the bottom of her throat. She frozed. Tiger kept doing nothing but smelling her shoe. Finally, she grab hold of Tiger on the neck. Tiger meow hard. Tiger jumped down from the sofa and Sarah smiled in satisfaction coz in her grasp are Tiger's bunch of fur. Droolz went to check on Tiger, hampir got botak patch near the neck. All shake head. Then she goes again... Eiiii.. Eiiii..... but too bad, Tiger dah cabut, cari tempat untuk sembunyi. Hahahahah. That poor cat.

The end.

BELATED BIRTHDAY POSTING
So it was my birthday last Saturday, the 19th. A birthday full of warm wishes. Due to piles and piles of workloads for upcoming projects in the office, no updates were shared. Thus, today, I would like to make a short speech to thank those who sent sms and presents.
Thank you Hubby & Baby for giving me a duo smucks on my fat cheek at midnight. Baby smucks left my fat cheek feeling so the very slimy with her air liuh dripping... hehehe... but I loike it. It is a feeling of joy getting kissed like that.
Thank you KakMil, Adik, Khad, Lia, AbgMaman for the birthday smses.
Thank you also for my sister, Droolz who bought me the followings from Aussino as birthday presents knowing I'm the bedsheet collector freak. Oh and the towel I tell you... it is so huge and long in size that I am actually using one as my blanket... hahaha... She bought me 2 colours, one pink and one purple.

Special thanks to Mum, my PrimaDonna, for waking me up from my slender sleep that morning to wish me a happy birthday. She also went to order a Rocky Road birthday cake which is so chocolaty sedap from PrimaDeli and bought me a handbag which I am now wearing, coincidentally sharing the same front name PrimaVera. She must have liked the word/brand Prima so much I guess, eh mak?

Other thanks to Ari-rang who tag and hint hint on my birthday, cuzzy Magg & family for dropping by my abode for a raya visit not knowing that it was birthday...ekekeke.. (but you get to taste my chicken rice, sambal quail's egg and chap chye).

Not a very sweet and short speech after all. Kalah Grammy Awards! I have realised that I'm old and soon gonna reach 30. At first I was cool and calm about it. But when I get those sms-es wishing me a happy 30th birthday... I suddenly felt the number 30 is so the very big and I began to feel like an old woman. Time flies so fast and I felt like celebrating my 20th birthday just few years back. Now, counting years to reach 40. Hopefully by then, I have great achievements and am happy with the life that I'm leading. With that, I'm ending this post with a big thank you to all for making me a happy woman.

SARAH'S VERSION OF DESPITE
Despite idea stolen from Crab (no trademark what.. hehe)
Despite being a baby girl, when dressed in shorts and sleeveless Ts, she is always mistaken as a boy.
Despite being so quiet in public, she can scream and shout like Tarzan at home.
Despite being so adorable and decent looking, she can behave extremely crabby and angry when her needs are not prioritize.
Despite being so petite, she can crawl and walk so fast in her walker.
Despite her sweet looks, my big cat Huzey is so afraid of her. LOL!
Despite her so sopan santun look, she cannot sit still and will open her mouth wide to anything that is being shove infront of her face. Few months time, she and Iman can pakaleow the whole table full of nice food and sit one corner enjoying their food festival.
Despite all the above, she is still the one I love so damn much. Hah.

TULANG OH TULANG

The weekend was filled with anxiety in welcoming guests to my home. I was out with primary school classmate after work on Saturday to attend open house at Lily's abode which I haven't visited since I left school. As usual at year by year open house over her place, we will be greeted with the nice smell of chicken rice. Chicken rice has been the same open house menu since our secondary school days. Syalin came with her daughter, Maria 7yrs old who look exactly like her when she was at that age. I came with my little darling and Nana came with her little prince, Nasrul. This time round, Sarah baby 'jual mahal' whenever Nazrul tried approaching her. I tried placing Nazrul hands over hers and guess what she did, she pull her hand away from him and turn her back against him. Tak padan kecik, ni fomfuan, so mentel. Somehow this time, as the mum were busy talking, camerawoman forgot to take picture of the 2 baby together-gether thus no duet photo this time. During after Maghrib, my aunt and 3 cousins visited my place. I managed to storm out only spaghetti bolognese since I reached home at 6.30 that afternoon.

On Sunday, my anakmelayu.com chatter friends came by to enjoy my bone steak or sup tulang. I tried making bone steak last week and that was first attempt of cooking bone steak for 1 big periuk and it was a success coz my tulang was so very laku, only left the kerak inside the periuk. That somehow built my confidence so I cooked again yesterday for Jep, Sue, Hani & Bon whom never failed to come by my place whenever I have a get together occassions. Good thing was they enjoyed the bone steak. Phew! In the afternoon, a group of my hubby's relative, for the first time visited my place as well. Pleasant surprise but it was a good gesture that they managed to drop by.

Late afternoon, while I was cleaning up the empty glasses, heard salam from sweet little voice "Assalamualaikum", they said, "Cik, boleh kita beraya?" Since there were only 2 little girls, I said ok and welcome them in. I gave them drinks and asked where they're from. They told me their names and which block they came from. After that I stepped into my room to take zakat money, standby inside my pocket. Next minute I came out, they said, "Cik, kita nak balik arh.." I was like, hah? Baru datang dah nak balik. In a nice way, I told them to sit, drink and eat then went on and on advising them that it is not nice to go raya from house to house with only main intention of collecting zakat. Then the eldest girl, a 9 year old (the other girl is only 8 year old) finally said, "Oh? Nak kena kasi habis air eh? Ok, kita kasi habis air kita baru kita balik eh? " Look at how cute and vulnerable these children are but I wonder, how can their parents let them wonder block by block, unit by unit like this. I did ask, how do you know there is a malay living on the 2nd floor. Her answer is, "Pasal ada lampu lap lip..." I was then telling hubby, next year no show of lampu lap lip.. this lighting attracts young children... muahahahaha. Cute.
CITER TARCHING MARCHING
Atau budak ni sengaja nak celebrate 1st anniversary, since last year dia lari dari rumah pon sometimes in December. Well, I don't know and kalau boleh memang aku tak nak amik tahu but being the wife of his dad and being his step mother, terpaksalah aku pasang telinga jugak.
My hubby's eldest son came home semalam together with my brother in law lepas dorang jalan raya sesama. However, looking at him behaving so extremely worried, I asked why. Terus kuar citer dari A sampai Z. I was like shock at firstlah but after I left him for my room, I was like "Hahaha.. padan muka kau Sadiq Sigaraga." You know that satisfaction I had was like so satisfying to know that the eldest wishes to return home and stay with us. Telinga aku terus terperanjat dengar dia cakap macam tu. Nasib baik dalam keadaan terperanjat, telinga ni tak infectious *winks at Magg*.
Citernya panjang tapi pendekkan, anak bertuah tu fed up pasal mak dia amik sumer duit collection dia padahal dia dah plan nak gi beli boot. Lepas tu bila budak ni mintak duit dia, mak dia cakap dah masuk bank lah, takde duitlah etc. Budak sekarang bukannya bodoh kan so dia cakap pat aku, kalau masuk bank, kenapa dia tak tunjuk kita orang buku bank. Dulu mama (aku) masuk bank, kita nampak duit tu dalam buku bank. *Doink dancing away happily sebab dijadikan contoh...PHOOOI!* So, nak tak nak, aku aksyenlah backing mak dia cakap yang maybe dia pinjam kejap, plan nak bayar balik time dapat gaji nanti (macam pernah dengar taktik ni) tapi ni anak tak terima. Dia tak percaya sebab mak dia gi KL ngan matair dia sewa kereta, dah lah tu, tak bawak dia ngan adik dia... dorang kena tinggal pat rumah kakak mak dia.
Aisey, sedih betul aku dengar plight dua beradik ni. Tengok arh mak dorang ni, enjoy tak ingat anak. Aku time honeymoon pon aku bawak dorang sekali tau *sob* *sob* sampai tak terhoneymoon pon aku layankan karenah dorang dua beradik tapi the best thing that time was to see their happy reaction on taking a first flight out of Singapore.
Tadi pagi mak dia datang rumah aku konon nak bincang dengan si abang sebab dari semalam dia call, si abang tak nak layan ie. won't take her calls. Datang rumah jer terus masuk, berdiri depan bilik aku sebab si abang tidur dalam bilik aku. Dia ingat aku takde dalam bilik ke? Nasib baik aku tak rembat ngan batang penyapu. Takde adab langsung, masuk rumah orang terus berdiri pat pintu bilik. Dia suruh si abang balik jugak (ni part, si adik dia tak bawak dengan alasan masih tidur and semalam adik dia tak ikut dorang jalan raya sebab ada bola) sebab dia nak bincang pat rumah dia pat east side. Si abang ni memang keras kepala and furthermore dia dah tahu mak dia nya trick up her sleeve. Kalau dah tak nak, dia cakap tak nak jugak. Bila mak dia mati-mati pujuk balik, dia tetap teguh cakap nak ikut ayah. Nak ajer aku berdiri depan tu pompuan terus ejek sambil kuarkan lidah tapi with little Sarah tengah nak susu, aku tak kuasa nak duduk pat living room pon. Anak beranak berbincang lepas tu she got no choice terpaksa jugak she went off without the eldest son. Aku pulak, dah berlepas pegi kerja by then.
This time round, I am trying not to think or be happy about it so much sebab these kids are indecisive, kejap nak ikut sana, kejap nak ikut sini. So, as much as hubby advise me to buat macam biasa before they disappoint me again, I was like ok but then, hmmmm... makin tired dan tensionlah dibuatnya. Kesian mak tiri... dah macam maid peribadi pulak aku ni. *Sigh*

HIT AND RUN
Funny how when hubby called me in the office yesterday afternoon with his just-wake-up voice I can cut him off and said I'll call back later which I didn't call back soon after. I took like almost 3 hours later and began dialing his mobile number not with much anxiety though. So we talked and so he mentioned he met with a minor accident that fateful morning. It was a hit and run with a Comfort cab. He had minor scratches but his poor bike was in bad shape. However strange that I wasn't even paying attention to his whining, I know something is definately wrong with me. The only words that came out from this mouth is next time be careful. I guess he's expecting lots more than just word of advise, but sorry Hub.. with my moody self, I can only huff and puff.
After I put down the receiver, I somehow was having this thoughts though. Is this dolat (retribution) from the Almighty up there for the upsets hubby gave me the whole of last week? For crying out loud, I did not pray for that accident okay but I always know that the Almighty Allah is maha berkuasa and maha mengetahui. Although I did not get to see him for 2 days already coz of his night shift work and he normally leaves for work before I came home, yesterday he called and again he moan about how painful his shoulder was. He was extremely nice and the conversation was kinda long yesterday, followed by sms-es.
How man can be egoistic sometimes. Teringat pepatah melayu, sekeras-keras kerak nasi, kena air lembut juga. Inilah istimewanya jadi wanita. When hubby behaved like a child seeking attention from a mother, teringat aku Kak Tipah cakap dengan Abg Jamil dalam filem Madu Tiga, tu lah.. busuk-busuk pon bini tua jugak, kenapa tak carik bini muda. Hah!

HAIL HITLER?
Lieber Shalih, ich auch morgens erlernend, wie man Deutsches spricht. Wenn Sie wahrend der Lektion diese Sprache erlernt haben, wettete ich, daB Sie meinen Text ohne irgendein Problem ubersetzen konnen.
Hah! Finally, a German sentence from Ihre Schwester (your sister!). Frat, I wonder why on earth you have to take up this German language instead of Spanish or Italian. Trying to say out the above sentence, I have to standby tissue paper to wipe off excess liquid on my flat screen monitor. Tempias beb. Chet!

RAYA VISITS
I am all excited this year to celebrate Raya with little Sarah in tow but somehow, my excitement went down the drain with Hubby's attitude on house visits. I am not blaming him coz his family is not as big as mine. Having too many relatives, who can I blame? My late grandparents?? Although having lots of relatives, I am proud because I know each and everyone of them and even though we are so far and only meet like once a year, we don't behave like strangers.
Likewise, for his side of the family, I happened to know that he has lots of relatives since I'm the one who has been writing down their relative's name on his brother's wedding card. But eversince being married to him, no relative has ever come visit. My MIL always grumble ever since her late mother passed away, relative kept a distance from them. Why? Perhaps she have the answer, did she ever go find those relatives? Did any of her children go find their aunts and uncles? I guess the answer is no coz I don't know their relatives and I was not introduced to any relatives besides the mother's sister and brother and the father's brother and that is only the close ones. And I guess that is the reason why Hubby sometimes detest of visiting lots of house from my side. But I felt it was not fair for me. I still have lots of aunts and uncles houses that I have not yet visit and with the wedding cards that needs to be distribute, I can't just post it out right? Hello, where's mua manners??
Just like yesterday, I have told him in advance that I wanna go to my grandma house after work. See, grandma house also never go on first day raya. Why? Because he was on night shift on Raya eve and by the third house, he was like a zombie already so I followed his wishes to go straight home. Back to grandma house, I told him to meet me straight at grandma's house since my workplace is conveniently near there. He knows I knock off at 6pm. Luckily I called at 5.45pm to check if everything was allright. When I first heard his voice, I was so frustruated. He was sleeping! He said he will get ready and meet me there. Ok. Five minutes later, he called and asked me to finished my work (which I have already happily packed up) as baby is out with his mum. I went mad. I told him to wait for me at home and if he's not willing to go, I'll just go with my baby. He too went mad when I said that. So, whose fault?? I have informed in advance. I have reminded him that morning. I am already tensed at work and he being like that makes me more tensed and upset.
Oh yes, I am still upset although I tried not to show it infront of him. I guess I have overworked which is why I got easily upset with minor things. I guess maybe I felt that he's not sharing the responsibilities in taking care of baby where he sleeps like a baby every night whilst I have to tend my little baby needs. The thought of getting pregnant again somehow puts me off. Too many things to handle and not enough time to rest. I hope this is not depression.

Constipate
Dah lama benar tak update blog ni. Bukan pasal cuti tapi pasal sibuk di ofis. Orang lain bercuti sempena nak sambut lebaran tapi aku terpaksa bekerja kerana memang cuti pon tak banyak sebab baru lagi pat kompeni ni, baru lepas hari (probation). LOL.
Tension dan pressure sebab too many things in my head at the moment. Soal kerja lain, soal rumah lain. Yesterday afternoon, on the way nak balik rumah, my mobile rang. Takde hello takde bagi salam tetiba kena pekik apasal hp off. I know my hp was not off, cuma takde network. I have to switch off and switch on again when using that stoopid phone. Letak dalam kocek pon kekadang takde network. Rabak sangat ke network Starhub.
Anyways, my hubby and mother in law went panic semalam coz my darling baby kena constipation and she was screaming and shrieking in pain. As a mother, of course I can sense her pain. Dalam teksi tu jugak dada rasa sebak, suruh teksi driver drive cepat-cepat so that I can be with her and soothe her from her pain. Kadang-kadang I don't understand kenapa orang-orang pat rumah tak tahu nak gunakan initiative. This is not the first time Sarah kena constipation and all her basic needs for constipation I have put aside and I have in fact advise where to find the medication and other needs for Sarah tapi semua panik semalam and wanted me to fly home kalau boleh coz they cannot find the things. I can hear Sarah's scream while hubby was shouting at me on the phone. It was not my fault that you couldn't reach me, it was not my fault when I left the office late and it was not my fault that I didn't get a cab on time so you have no right to shout at me, damn it!. The way hubby shouted at me memang buat aku zeng sekejap until I too shouted at the taxi driver to drive quickly and don't hegeh-hegeh. But luckily the taxi driver managed to console me with his soothing words of advise and bila aku pikiaq balik, I know he's right, takkan tahi punya pasal laki bini nak perang besar. So I managed to calm down and when I reached home takde orang pat rumah. Baik-baik dah cool down, naik balik darah aku sampai ke otak. Dalam hati macam-macam sumpah seranah, suruh aku balik cepat abih takde orang pat rumah. Then I saw hubby and mother in law walking back, they tried bringing Sarah to the clinic but clinic was closed and re-opens only after 7pm. I quickly changed and grab baby to the clinic myself after 7pm. Perhaps feeling guilty, hubby tailed me to the clinic. Got some medication and although she still scream and shout later that night, I managed to soothe her with lullaby and she doze off finally. I can only sigh with what happened yesterday. Kalaulah ditakdirkan nyawa aku dicabut awal, what will happen to my daughter, benda macam ni pon orang-orang pat rumah tak boleh handle. Aku hanya pasrah.
All photos uploaded here, courtesy of Crab's digicam. Kalau takde digicam dia, takkan adalah gambar yang aku boleh upload niari. Plus, I have been warned by Crab not to crop, chop, cut or cincang the photo so here they are, little Sarah with her mama & her Obek Ena (ekekeke). Terima kasih Crab, you are my life saver. Hehehe.
