BABY'S DIGITAL ADVENTURE
I had mentioned in my previous posting that Sarah needs a haircut. I will not elaborate more about the haircut. The only feeling I had now is regret. Picture will tell all.
Before .....
... and After. (Dah macam nyonya bukit)

Hubby said she looks cute. Fine. Whatever. I was under the impression that the haircut would be done in style as she was very good behaved. She sat still and just look into the mirror when the hairstylist cut here and there. Well, a $5 cut. What can I expect. Never again, my baby.

This is my cat, Huzey. Huzey was purring for food and attention. The door shut by itself. I just got back from work. Timecheck : 7.30pm. Baby was with me. I put her on the floor. See their action. My poor Huzey.
Oh No. She'd already saw the cat!
Trying to get off the bed by herself. Macam iye-iye jer.

She's getting closer to the cat.

How she cornered the cat.
She's not giving up that easily althought Huzey managed to escape.

At last, I found you... she'd probably say that to herself. God knows. And I thought that was already a tiring chase. My poor cat was so frightened that when I open the door, Huzey dashed out and hide under the sofa. LOL.

The End.

NECKARDWhen I was pregnant, I had a girlfriend who gave me an A3 poster of a Caucasion baby. Her advise was look at that baby picture and hopefully I'll get a baby as adorable as that. And so I pasted that poster on my wall and had a glimpse of it every night before I shut my eyes to sleep.

One horrid day, something just knock my head to senses. What if I keep looking at that Caucasion baby poster and my baby will come out looking like that. One hand it will be good to have the most adorable look of that Caucasion baby but on the other hand I will definately have to answer the most worrying question like whose the father of my baby. LOL. And so I put that sweet poster away.

Thus, from that moment on, before I shut my eyes to sleep, I'd pray and wish to the Almighty as follows :-

  • That my baby will be complete, from top to bottom, a complete structure.. meaning normal baby.
  • That my baby will turn out a girl.
  • That my baby will have her ayah's facial features especially the eyelashes, chubby cheeks, lips, smile, dimple and eyebrows.
  • That my baby will have my features like my nose (not that fascinating but at least smaller than the ayah's) and my infamous big eyes.

When she was born, indeed my wish came true. She was her ayah's template. The only thing she copied from me is her big round eyes. The rest, exactly a template of her ayah.

Now, when I take a look at all her photo, I thinked hard and one thing for sure that I forgot to wish for was ...

... HER NECK.

No wonder ayah is so proud showing her around. She has his full feature including his short neck. Heck!

BAD HAIR DAY. CUT!

Sarah's hair is growing fast and I simply can't stand her irritation of scratching here and there when sweaty. Before Chinese New Year, she will go for her haircut. So does her Mama. Both of us are having a bad hair day. I can't make do with stotetlet pony tail to work all the time. Hairstyle's a problem since early this year for me. And Sarah detest any headgear or clips on her head. Sigh.

Hubby was against it. I mean trimming short Sarah's hair. Men. They just don't understand it sometimes. It's not wrong to keep long hair but the time is not right yet for Sarah to have a long hair. She sweats easily when weather is hot and those unsightly rashes sometimes is just too painful for me to see.

Sharing the conversation though.

Hubby : Don't need to cut lah.

Me : Cut.

Hubby : Nanti dah cut short, tak pretty anak ayah.

Me : No. Cut. Cut.

Hubby : Seelah your Mama, baby. Rambut baru nak panjang dah suruh potong.

Me : Can you for once be more thoughtful. She can don long hair when she's older, but she's still a baby and look at poor her ... scratch and scratch sampai luka tengkuk dia. (Hubby went closer to have a look)

Hubby : Ok. Cut.

MIM.ALIF.LAM.SIM

Malas. Malas. Malas. Hiatus it will be. Seriously rasa malas menyelubungi diri.

I need a brain surgery. Mungkin otak ni tengah beku. Tetiba tak tahu nak tulis apa.

So, till then... ciao romano.

RAMBUT SAMA HIGHLIGHT, KALER LAIN LAIN
Si Anu : Aku perhatikan kau dah berubah sekarang eh, Ti?
Aku : Berubah? Dari segi apa eh? Berat badan tetap sama, perangai tetap sama.
Si Anu : Bukan itulah. Sekarang, kalau ajak kau keluar, ada saja alasan kau. Leceh lah.
Aku : Lah.. aku ingat apanya yang berubah. Kalau pasal keluar tu, kau kenalah faham keadaan aku. Dulu masa tak ada anak, bolehlah aku berambu sana sini. Sekarang dah ada anak, bukan tak boleh, tapi kadang-kadang, masa tak izinkan aku keluar.
Si Anu : Yek eleh. Aku pon ada anak tapi tak lah seteruk kau. Anak aku pon baby tapi taklah susah sangat sampai tak boleh keluar. Lagipun bila ajak keluar tu, bukan suruh kau overnight ke haper. Setakat duduk-duduk berbual, tak sampai 3 ke 4 jam.
Aku : Aku tahulah kau pon ada anak tapi situasi kau dengan aku tak sama. Anak kau, kau letak pat rumah mak kau, tiap hujung minggu baru kau amik. Anak aku pulak, mak mertua yang jaga. Takkan aku sesuka hati nak balik lambat. Nanti apa pulak mak mertua aku cakap.
Si Anu : Kau kata mak mertua kau understanding. Itu kan cucu dia, takkan jaga sekejap pon dia nak bising-bising dengan kau. Kau sajalah buat alasan.
Aku : Apa kau ni. Kalau pun dia understanding mana dan walaupun itu cucu dia, takkan aku suka-suka suruh dia jaga 24-7? Kau ni tak fahamlah. Kalau pun aku boleh jumpa kau, nanti bila aku cakap aku kena balik rumah dulu, bawak anak aku ikut sama jadi aku boleh balik lambat, kau kata aku leceh sangat. Bila aku cakap tak boleh jumpa, kau cakap aku berubah. Aku tak fahamlah. Kau nak aku cakap macam mana ni?
Si Anu : Betol pe. Baru anak satu dah susah nak jumpa members, nanti kalau anak dua ke tiga, terus susah nak gi kerja.
Aku : (diam. dah takde ayat aku nak sampaikan.)
Si Anu : Abih diam....
Aku : Aku dah kehabisan ayatlah nak terangkan keadaan aku dengan kau. Aku rasa kalau aku explain deeply mana pon, kau tetap cakap aku ni saja buat alasan. So, I don't see a point in explaining. Kalau aku salah, then sorrylah. Aku dah tak tahu nak cakap apa lagi.
Si Anu : Kau trylah berubah sikit. Orang lain pon ada anak. Kau tengok kawan kita 'si Ani' tu, anak dah dua, tapi untuk jumpa pon no problem pe.
Aku : 'Si Ani' kan duduk rumah mak dia. Anak dia pon dah besar, tak susah nak jaga kalau ditinggalkan. Anak aku ni kecik lagi, macam-macam karenah. Kau kan ada baby, takkan kau tak tahu karenah anak kau?
Si Anu : Alahai kau ni Ti. Betul tak aku cakap tadi? Baru anak satu dah susah nak jumpa members, nanti kalau anak dua ke tiga, terus susah nak gi kerja.
Aku : Kau ni kalau berbual macam champion. Tak fahamlah aku.
Si Anu : Dahlah kita drop that subject. Chinese New Year ni kau free tak? Aku ingat nak ajak kau masuk JB.
Aku : Hah? JB? Alamak kau ni. Kalau nak date aku, mesti tempat2 gempaq kau buat venue. Kau tak reti bahasa eh? I have to take care of my baby when I'm not working. Dahlah mak mertua aku tolong aku jaga every other day, takkan time aku tak kerja pon aku nak suruh dia jaga. Cubalah faham sikit.
Si Anu : Aku saja testing, dah tahu punya apa jawapan kau. Dahlah Ti, aku nak kena jumpa kakak ipar aku kejap lagi. Kau duduklah rumah, jadi kakak-kakak jaga suami & anak-anak kau baik-baik. Ciao.
Kalau tak kerana Sarah di pangkuan, memang dah aku maki secukup rasa. Susah sangat ke nak faham keadaan orang. Rambut boleh sama hitam tapi hati, perangai, cara takkan pernah sama. Aku, dia, dekni, dektu takkan pernah sama. Lain orang lain cara. Hairan aku dibuatnya.

JOURNEY OF 2005
In welcoming 2006 which I believe is a bit to late (since we are almost a week in the brand new year), I wish to share my journey throughout 2005. A journey that has made me realize life is full of crap and bullshits. Some good or bad things may come to us in an unexpected situation thus I am now trying to appreciate life as it is and never again hope that it will be as good as plan.

January 2005 : I could not even imagine how I manage to pull myself through that month. I was 6 months pregnant, still recuperating the after-shock of losing my job of 6 years as well as a step-son whom I have look after like my own flesh and blood since 2002.

February 2005 : I got a job offer as a traffic controller in Changi Airport but I have to decline as they specify that job required standing throughout the whole work day. I decided to stay home and look after my tummy. Heh.

March 2005 : Intensity to look forward to giving birth vanished when I was informed of my breech pregnancy. Chose a date and set to give birth via caesarian. Almost drown in Siloso Beach, a nightmare that I can never forget, especially when I was in my 8th month.

April 2005 : Almost die up laughing after giving birth. It was a pleasant one though. I arrived KK Hospital at 8.30am with hubby. Booking and payment made and we ended up in the ward, waiting to be scan, check, shave (For god sake! That is the first experience I had when midwife came in with a shaver and wanting to shave you know what. Luckily I had all set up. Heh!) and pre-advise of what to expect during and after giving birth. It was like a pregnancy lesson for dummy. Went into the operating theatre at 12.30pm and came out feeling almost groggy by 1.30pm. It was fast and I opted out for that oxygen mask coz I could not breathe properly with that. My adorable baby was born at 1.18pm and I only got to meet her on my 3rd day stay and of course I shed tears of joy.

May 2005 : Days where I sat and recuperate at home with Ma coming over days after days to make sure I follow her instructions. All those herbal medicine and massage oil plus all those pantangs, oh boy, tell me about it. I still have half a box left - uneaten and nobody knew about it. Hehe. Sorry Droolz, for wasting your money. Lunch and dinner at that time was always rice and this dish called Pindang or Chelok in Boyanese. Haiz.

June 2005 : Another loss of a step-son who decided that following his eldest foot step was indeed the right choice. I have had enough.

July 2005 : Landed myself in a new job site, a new environment, a new area and I kinda like it. Carpets - cut, loop or pile, you name it, I have master the art. Heh! Like as if but it was fun working in this new line.

August 2005 : Began enjoying life as a young couple with a newborn. Indeed it was not so stressful with only a baby and a husband to look after. Hubby had obviously changed upon arrival of his only daughter, his precious gem. He doted his princess, taking us out most of the time.

September 2005 : Hubby's hot temper became extinct. Heh. Thanks to his princess.

November 2005 : While we just enjoy a good life, bad things have to happen again. Suddenly, kids came home. Suddenly, there were tantrums at home. Suddenly, nonsense calls for the kids came in. Suddenly, I have no mood to even stay at home. Suddenly, I thought my days will end. Suddenly, I began contemplating to be the evil witch just like Snow White's step mother.

December 2005 : 8 years anniversary with beloved hubby right on Xmas eve. How time flies so quickly. How I used to think that this relationship would not even last for 2 years. How I used to think that hubby would not change his attitude and I am so glad that I was wrong. I am so glad he has finally shown that he loved me and baby more that everything. He has since apologize for reprimanding me when we lose the eldest just because I forbid him from playing the Playstation. He admitted that it was the children's fault and not mine at all. I am so glad that everything did happen for a reason.

A START TO MY NEW YEAR
Follow Through By Gavin DeGraw
Oh, this is the start of something good, don't you agree?
I haven't felt like this in so many moons, you know what I mean?
And we can build through this destruction, as we are standing on our feet.
So, since you want to be with me, you'll have to follow through, with every word you say.
And I, all I really want is you, you to stick around.
I'll see you everyday, but you have to follow through.
You have to follow through.
These reeling emotions they just keep me alive, they keep me in tune. Oh, look what I'm holding here in my fire, this is for you. Am I too obvious to preach it? You're so hypnotic on my heart. So, since you want to be with me, you'll have to follow through, with every word you say. And I, all I really want is you, (for) you to stick around. I'll see you everyday, but you have to follow through. The words you say to me are unlike anything that's ever been said. Ahh, and what you do to me is unlike anything that ever been. Am I to obvious to preach it? You're so hypnotic on my heart, so since you want to be with me. You have to follow through, with every word you say. And I, all I really want is you, (for) you to stick around. I'll see you everyday. So, since you want to be with me, you'll have to follow through with every word you say. And I, all I really want is you, (for)you to stick around. I'll see you everyday, but you have to follow through. You have to follow through. You're gonna have to follow. Oh, this is the start of something good. Don't you agree?
Thank you Dar for sticking with me through thick and thins, provide me with tears and laughter, showering me with so much love and attention. Thank you for everything.
ps. To my dear bloggers, I'll put up a post of my 2005 Journey later. Right now, I am buried with more workloads.
