An Evening With The Car Jokers

It was a superb outing yesterday afternoon. It was a hillarious get together with all the car jockey from Conqueror. They sure loves to joke around. To top it all, it was a great and fabulicious barbeque event that they organized. We had nice chicken wings, fresh sting ray, fresh crabs and sweet corns that were barbequed through the night. When I said fresh, it's definately fresh from the sea and onto the sizzling hot wire mesh. Why not when you actually barbequed at Wak Jenal's Jetty at Seletar and Wak Jenal himself sponsored his catch of the day for the barbeque event. The crab were succulently sweet and fresh I tell you. I definately can't wait for the next barbeque event by these old timers. Oh and the good news is we managed to get the chubby Riyan to join us as well so that's a complete family outing I would say. Enjoy the pictures.
When its only us at the jetty, the kids took the chance to pose on the speed boat. It was low tide when we arrived.
The princess and the 3 stooges. The uncle in brown and the abangs in red and black.
The succulent fresh crabs, still crawling around in that basket and when put on the sizzling hot wire mesh, the outcome is its fresh taste from the sea. Oh, they took almost 1 and 1/2 hour to release all the crabs stuck at the long net and its a big tub full of crabs. And there's soft shell crabs too which I managed to eat - 3 of them.. hehehe..
Abg Salim & wife doing the 2nd shift of barbequeing. Guest where I took this picture from? From inside a speedboat. The barbeque was done on the jetty.
The siblings goofing around after a night full of crabs and chicken wings. They enjoyed themself and all came home with smell of smoke and sweat, especially the baby. Too much jumping around.
This is where we helped ourselves to sit down and eat. Inside a large fishing speedboat which was anchored beside the jetty - that's why Sarah enjoyed herself so much. She can eat, can play around, can touch the sea water and be with her daddy who is busy fishing away.
ps. Oh and for J, a word of advise is for you to compose yourself and get the real facts before you jump on others. You're getting ridiculously self-absorbed & we're just afraid you might end up in a safe haven one day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GORGEOUS BABE!

This baby is now 2 years old. This picture is taken 1 day before her birthday. She must have known the family is throwing her a birthday bash at the beach that she did not sleep a wink that night. Time check is 11.45pm and see what she does, she prays - "Dear God, please don't make the rain falls down tomorrow. I want to have lots of people coming to my first birthday bash". And she finished her little prayer with an Amen.
The birthday cake that I baked myself - with so much love and pain. Because of the cake, I quarrelled with hubby and because of the cake, I cry my heart out. But thank goodness, the comments that I received from guest is encouraging and building up my liking to more baking. Alhamdulillah, the pain & cries is all worth it.
The afternoon when everybody there sang her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY song and she froze and don't know where to hide but eventually, she began liking it and awaiting to blow off the candles, with the help of the mummy.
The overwhelming presents from guest (half is already open) - despite the heavy rain. The poor daddy looked like a sleepy Santa Claus on Sunday morning when driving back home with passerby staring on his back seats - the birthday presents conquered the whole sitting area.
I truly apologize for not taking so much pictures as I was busy handling the bbq and guests. A big thank you to my wonderful mama for cooking a storm - food was delicious & although it goes wasted by end of the day, I thank you so much for not sleeping the whole night cooking for me. Droolz & Family, Adik, My mak-in-law, Cik Anuar & Family, Cik Ma, Lia, Nenek, Zainab, Nullah - thank you for helping out. The guests - Masri (for the so ever bigger than Sarah present - thank you!!), Iwan, Nora, Momma & family, Mira & kids, Kak Mil & family, Kak Noi & hub, Abg Abu, Abg Maman & Family, Cik Kam & family and all of hubby's friends (Hairul, Sahri, Erwin, Azman, Romzi, Amir and their families plus some others whom I was not familiar with) - thank you all. Not forgetting my wonderful 3 colleagues for turning up with their families as well.
I was dead tired by the time event is over. So much to do since Thursday evening and it all went well although Sarah's prayer not answered. And the fun & laughter we had from Abg Abu, Kak Noi, Abg Rezal, Amir, Diah & hubby till almost 3am... it was a good Sedara Eson gathering - One more time perhaps? Quoting Abg Abu's phrase - "JANGAN TAKUT, SEDARA PUNYA PASAL MENANG AKU KASI BALIKaku buat gathering lagi nanti". Teeheehee.
More pictures that was taken only in the afternoon, will be uploaded in my multiply separately. Link can be found at the side bar.
Thanks All!
p.s. A happy 20th birthday to my beloved fratello on 9th April 2007. Love you loads!

Tragedi Oktober March

This month is definately the month for me to remember, the month that makes me MORE realize that death is nearing anytime, anywhere. My cousin lost his son in a road accident in the wee hours on 9th March. My husband lost his uncle, at our home, on 16th March. My step-son lost his maternal grandmother on 18th March. And I almost lost my mind having to juggle work and family during that time. It has been tough on all of us especially on the son. I am very ashamed of myself for taking my own sweet time settling office matter when the need of me to come home on 16th March was indeed urgent. I seriously had no idea that it would turn out to be something tragic. I was on my way home, exiting CTE Ave 3, when the phone call came in from the 2 boys (the youngest brother in law & the son) advising Arwah had no breath. I frantically asked my downstairs shopkeeper who is our close neighbour to go up my house and check and he confirmed the death. That made me more panic and more remorseful afterwards as I had to handle the calling of the necessaries - the relatives, the police, the doctor, the casket people. The husband was crying frantically and that makes me even more sad for I have never seen him crying, not even once, since the day we met. 7 days has just past and all I can do now is to pray - Semoga rohnya dicucuri rahmat. Amin.
On the other note, a big shout to Rayyan Sufuwandy for his birthday yesterday. Happy 13th Birthday, son! And that face, after reading the birthday card that I wrote, I will never forget... ever! My words managed to touch your heart, is it not? Heh!
